Shipping Corporation Director Personnel BB Sinha to hold additional charge of CMD

NEW DELHI: Shipping Corporation of India's Director Personnel & Administration B B Sinha has been given additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director's post of the PSU.

The post of the CMD fell vacant on retirement of A K Gupta on December 31, 2015.

"Ministry of Shipping has informed that Capt B B Sinha Director (Personnel & Administration) will hold the additional charge of the post of the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), consequent upon the superannuation of A K Gupta on December 31, 2015," SCI said in a BSE filing.

Sinha has been given charge with effect from January 1 and will continue to March 31 or until further orders, it added.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 91.95 apiece, down 2.49 per cent from previous close.
