One held, 11 absconding in MSRTC ticket scam

AKOLA (MAHARASHTRA): An employee of the state road transport corporation has been arrested in connection with the Rs four lakh-fake fare ticket scam, police said.
Eleven other accused, including two former and one serving depot managers, have been reported absconding, they said.
Vinayak Panjab Aapotikar, a conductor working at the Telhara State Transport Depot here, was arrested yesterday, they said.
The scam involved forging of records and issue of bogus tickets and was committed between August 2003 and January 2006, police noted.
