NHAI approves Rs 1,550 cr for Bihar, MP
NHAI approves construction, maintainence of highways in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.
"In its recent Board meeting, NHAI top brass approved upgradation of three highway stretches in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana under NHDP III A at an expenditure of Rs 1,550 crore," NHAI sources said.
The Authority approved construction of 63.71 km of highways stretch between Patna and Muzaffarpur on NH 77 in Bihar at an expenditure of Rs 458 crore, they added.
The Authority has also okayed operationlising 82 km on NH 3 between Khalghat bordering Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra at a cost of Rs 549 crore, the sources said.
Besides, the NHAI board has also approved construction and maintenance a stretch of 89.36 km on NH 10 between Rohtak and Hissar in Haryana at an expenditure of Rs 543 crore.
The above projects would be on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis and the concession period would be 18 years, sources said and pointed out that the Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC) has already accorded its approval to these projects.
