MFC uses multi-model mode for ODC delivery

Over dimensional cargo (ODC) and project cargo mover, Mumbai-based MFC seems to be taking advantage of the booming project cargo market in the country. Of late, it has employed multi-modal transport to service its customers efficiently.

Ever since it moved two IOC reactors, at Haldia, last year, the company has bagged similar ODC consignments. Recently, it carried 400MT cargo from Hazira by barge to Mumbai Port, and picked up another 200MT for its return leg from L&T, by a vessel. It has also been using both rail and road for moving ODC steel plates within record time.
