Kochi Metro Rail project on track

The proposed Metro Rail project to ease the traffic woes of Kochi city was progressing as per schedule, the Kerala Assembly was informed on Thursday.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The proposed Metro Rail project to ease the traffic woes of Kochi city was progressing as per schedule, the Kerala Assembly was informed on Thursday.

The steps for implementation of the project was progressing well, State Minister in-charge of Railways M Vijayakumar said.

A special cell has been constituted with R Gangadharan Nair, a retired railway official, as its head to examine the progress of the project, he added while replying to a submission by Congress MLA K V Thomas.
