JSW's port project gets MoEF's nod
JSW Group on Tuesday said its proposed greenfield port project at Jaigarh in Ratnagiri district has received clearance from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF).

MUMBAI: JSW Group on Tuesday said its proposed greenfield port project at Jaigarh in Ratnagiri district has received clearance from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF).
The project is expected to be developed in two phases, the company said in a release here, adding that the project was supposed to be completed by March 2009.
It would initially cater to the handling of 75,000 dwt to 105,000 dwt size vessels and later be scaled up to cape size vessels, it said.
The port would be located near the company's proposed 1,200 MW power plant.
JSW said the power project was awaiting clearnace from the MoEF to take off.
