Great Eeastern Shipping to sell its 2003-built medium-range tanker Jag Pankhi

New Delhi: The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (GE Shipping) on Tuesday said that it has agreed to sell its 2003-built medium-range tanker Jag Pankhi to a third party.

GE Shipping, in a statement, said the vessel, with a carrying capacity of 46,273 deadweight tonnes (DWT), will be delivered to the buyer in the first quarter of this financial year.

Including Jag Pankhi, GE Shipping said, the company's current owned fleet stands at 40 vessels, comprising 26 tankers (5 crude tankers, 17 product tankers, 4 LPG carriers) and 14 dry bulk carriers (2 Capesize, 9 Kamsarmax, 1 Ultramax, and 2 Supramax) aggregating 3.20 million DWT.

Additionally, the company said it has contracted to buy a second-hand Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier and a second-hand medium-range tanker. It also agreed to sell its medium-range tanker 'Jag Prakash'.

These transactions are expected to be completed in the first quarter of FY27, it added.
