Great Eastern Shipping orders for 2 dry bulk carriers
Great Eastern Shipping Co Ltd has placed an order for building two 57,000 dead-weight tonne dry bulk carriers.

MUMBAI: Great Eastern Shipping Co Ltd said on Thursday it has placed an order for building two 57,000 dead-weight tonne dry bulk carriers.
The order has been placed with Cosco (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co Ltd and the vessels are expected to join its fleet by second quarter of 2010-11, it said in a statement.
This is the second order GE Shipping has placed from the same shipbuilder. Last month it sought two dry bulk carriers expected to join its fleet in the fourth quarter of 2009/10, it said.
