GE Shipping Q2 net at Rs 235.48 cr
Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd on Friday reported a net profit of Rs 235.48 crore for the quarter ended September 30, where as the same was at Rs 156.07 crore for the same quarter last year.

MUMBAI: City-based Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd on Friday reported a net profit of Rs 235.48 crore for the quarter ended September 30, where as the same was at Rs 156.07 crore for the same quarter last year.
Total income stood at Rs 593.20 crore for the second quarter in the current fiscal, while during the same quarter last fiscal it was Rs 471.14 crore, the marine logistics services provider informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
At a meeting held on Friday the company's board declared an interim dividend of Rs 4 per equity share, which would be paid to the eligible shareholders on or after November 22.
The company said that the interim dividend would be paid on the reduced equity share capital - about 15 crore equity shares post demerger of the offshore services business.
Berjis Desai has also been appointed as a Director on the board with effect from today, the company added.
