Freight rates up on busy cargo movements
Freight rates for nine tonne laod improved by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following busy cargo movements against tight truck position.
Transporters said increased arrivals of cargo and less position of trucks, mainly pushed up freight rates.
Delhi to Vijaywada and Goa rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 56,000 and Rs 53,000, respectively.
Rates to Kanpur, Indore and Ahmeabad also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 20,000, Rs 22,000 and Rs 24,000, respectively.
