DHL Express has appointed Sandeep Juneja as senior vice-president for South Asia and managing director for India, effective November 1. He succeeds R S Subramanian, who will move to Blue Dart as managing director.

DHL Express has announced the appointment of Sandeep Juneja as senior vice-president for South Asia and managing director for India, effective November 1 this year.

Juneja succeeds R S Subramanian, who will move to Blue Dart as managing director, the company said on Monday.

In his new role, Juneja will focus on strengthening customer partnerships, capturing growth opportunities and delivering sustainable business growth. He brings more than three decades of professional experience, including over two decades with DHL Express, having joined the organisation in 2004.

A member of the India management board since 2007, Juneja has held senior leadership responsibilities across sales, marketing and commercial functions. He began leading the country’s commercial function in 2013.

“India and South Asia are among the most dynamic markets in our region, with significant opportunities for businesses to grow their international footprint and participate in global trade,” said Ken Lee, CEO for Asia Pacific, DHL Express. “Capturing that opportunity requires strong market knowledge, close customer relationships and an organisation that can translate ambition into sustainable growth. Sandeep brings all three. I look forward to seeing him build on that robust foundation and lead our business into the next phase of growth.”

Juneja has played a key role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy and strengthening its market position. His work spans customer development, strategic pricing, digitalisation and new growth opportunities, with a focus on profitable growth and customer value.
