Railway public sector undertaking (PSU), Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has diversified its offerings by entering the loose bulk cargo business. A company statement said CONCOR has introduced specialised tank containers for the first time to facilitate the transportation of bulk cement in loose form.

The real-time movement of these specialized tank containers commenced from My Home Cement Siding (MMHM), Mellacheruvu in Andhra Pradesh to CONCOR ICD Whitefield at Bangalore, the PSU said.

These tank containers are designed to support the cement industry by enabling efficient, safe, and eco-friendly bulk movement of cement through rail. This significantly reduces the dependence on conventional bagged transport while also enhancing the operational efficiency of cement companies.
