Bharati Shipyard signs deal with GESCO

Bharati Shipyard Ltd on Monday said it has bagged an order with offshore division of Great Eastern Shipping Co Ltd (GESCO) for manufacture and supply of a jack up drill rig.

MUMBAI: Bharati Shipyard Ltd on Monday said it has bagged an order with offshore division of Great Eastern Shipping Co Ltd (GESCO) for manufacture and supply of a jack up drill rig.

The order entails manufacture and supply of self propelled cantilevered independent leg, jack up drill rig, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company's entry in to this niche market segment will give a major boost to its offshore manufacturing activities.

The company's shares closed at Rs 344.30, up 9.04 per cent at BSE.
