Bharati Shipyard board to take call on changing name next week
The board will also consider the change of "Objects Clause" of the co to enable it to foray into defence products and other allied activities.

NEW DELHI: Bharati Shipyard today said its board will take a call on changing the name of the company to Bharati Defence And Infrastructure Ltd in a meeting to be held next week.
"A meeting of the board of directors of the company will be held on July 31, 2015, inter alia, to consider... subject to all necessary approvals, change of name of the company from 'Bharati Shipyard Ltd' to 'Bharati Defence And Infrastructure Ltd'," Bharati Shipyard Ltd said in a regulatory filing.
The firm further said the board will also consider the change of "Objects Clause" of the company to enable it to foray into defence products and other allied activities.
It will also consider to issue convertible warrants to the lender, the filing said.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 17.35 apiece on the BSE, up 4.83 per cent from the previous close.
