BEML steps into Myanmar for supply of dump trucks

BANGALORE: Premier defence PSU BEML Ltd has bagged an order for approx $11 million from Myanmar for supply of a fleet of dump trucks, used for transporting loose materials, and spares.

The company has received advance payment towards the supplies and shipment would commence in the later part of this year, it said in a statement.

This breakthrough of the company emerged out of its continued persuasion and extended focus in the ASEAN region with aggressive marketing practices, leveraging its overseas operations at Indonesia and Malaysia.

BEML is also focusing on African and Chinese markets for mining and construction equipment during the current year.
