BB Sinha to continue to hold additional charge of SCI CMD

NEW DELHI: BB Sinha will continue to hold the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director of Shipping Corporation of India, the PSU said today.

In a filing to the BSE, Shipping Corporation (SCI) said that the Ministry of Shipping has informed that "Capt B B Sinha, Director (P&A), will continue to hold additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director, SCI, till the approval/ decision of the competent authority in the matter".

Earlier on April 1, SCI had informed bourses that extension of the additional charge assignment to Sinha for "another period of 3 months beyond March 31, 2016 was under consideration".

Sinha had been given the additional charge as CMD post in January till March 31. The post of the CMD fell vacant after AK Gupta retired on December 31.
