Arshiya Intl to invest Rs 3,000 cr to develop FTWZs
Logistics company Arshiya International Ltd on wednesday said it will invest Rs 3,000 crore over the next five years for setting up free trade warehousing zones.
The company would invest the amount in two phases. In the first phase, the company would invest Rs 1,800 crore for development of three FTWZ in West Zone (near Mumbai), North Zone (near Delhi) and Sohar Port in Oman, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The FTWZs shall be a special category of Special Economic Zones(SEZ) with a focus on trading and warehousing.
"The FTWZ infrastructure will improve Exim Trade and will provide customers value-added services beyond traditional logistics and supply chain services," Arshiya Chairman Ajay S Mittal said.
