ABG Shipyard bags Rs 48 cr order from Cyprus

ABG Shipyard Ltd on Monday said it has bagged $10.55 million (Rs 48 crore) order from Cyprus-based Lamnalco Ltd for construction of a vessel for offshore application.

MUMBAI: ABG Shipyard Ltd on Monday said it has bagged $10.55 million (Rs 48 crore) order from Cyprus-based Lamnalco Ltd for construction of a vessel for offshore application.

The order, for construction of an anchor handling tug, 80 ton Bollard Pull, is the 11th order from Lamnalco to the company. ABG Shipyard has already delivered five vessels and other five vessels are under construction for the same company, it informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company would deliver the export order by August 17, 2008. The order is entitled for subsidy as per the prevailing ship building subsidy scheme of the Government, it said.

The company has bagged total orders worth about Rs 2350 crore from the Cyprus company.

The shares of the company were trading at Rs 277, up 5.1 per cent at the BSE.
