ABG Shipyard bags $85.5 mn ship building contract

Private sector ship builder ABG Shipyard today said it has bagged a contract worth USD 85.5 million (about Rs 376 crore) for construction of three cement carriers.

MUMBAI: Private sector ship builder ABG Shipyard today said it has bagged a contract worth USD 85.5 million (about Rs 376 crore) for construction of three cement carriers.

The company has bagged orders worth USD 85.5 million for three cement carriers from Singapore-based Associated Bulk Carriers, ABG Shipyard said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Following this contract, the order book of ABG Shipyard stands at around Rs 12,100 crore.

Shares of ABG Shipyard were trading at Rs 252.75 on BSE, up 1.47 per cent from its previous close.
