NHAI threatens to ban top infra companies for three years

NHAI has issued show cause notice to over a dozen infrastructure companies, including L&T, Soma Enterprises, Essel Infrastructure, Gammon India, MBL Infrastructure, Ashoka Buildcon, HCC and Supreme Infrastructure, asking why they should not be barred from bidding for highway projects for 2-3 years. 20 highway projects executed by these companies were terminated for builders' 'default'. The companies have been asked to submit their responses by Monday.
