Mumbai launches BEST Chalo airport express for seamless airport travel

In a move to enhance public transportation, Mumbai, the financial capital of India, has introduced the BEST Chalo Airport Express. Launched officially on Wednesday, February 7, the initiative aims to address the challenges faced by travelers during their airport journeys.

The newly introduced buses aim to transform public mobility, aligning with global service standards observed at leading airports. With a promise of seamless airport travel, these buses are set to elevate the commuting experience in Mumbai.


Operational Details

After successful public trials, the service is now operational on four routes, with plans for further expansion. With 230 daily trips to and from Mumbai Airport, the Airport Express is geared to increase its capacity in the coming months. Notably, the service prioritizes sustainability, with 50% of its buses already electric and a goal to transition to 100% electric buses by March 2024.

Convenient Booking Options

Passengers can book their seats through various channels, including counters outside airport terminals, the BEST Chalo App, and the web portal chalo.com/airport-express. The Airport Express emphasizes faster travel, ensuring a smoother journey for commuters.
