L&T partners with French firm to market specialised road construction equipment in India

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday announced a partnership with French construction group FAYAT Road Equipment to market and sell BOMAG’s specialised road construction machinery in India.

Under the agreement, L&T’s construction and mining machinery business will handle the marketing, sales, after-sales support and supply of spare parts for BOMAG equipment in the country.

FAYAT is France’s largest independent construction group and has a global presence in road equipment. Germany-based BOMAG operates under FAYAT’s road equipment division and specialises in machinery and technologies used in road construction and infrastructure development.

The partnership will combine BOMAG’s road construction equipment and technology with L&T’s established customer network and nationwide product support infrastructure.

"The specialised BOMAG range of equipment will complement L&T's existing road machinery portfolio, enabling L&T to address a broader range of applications across road construction & maintenance and overall infrastructure development. Together, these products will enable L&T to offer the full range of road machinery to its esteemed customers," Anil V Parab, Senior Executive Vice President and Whole-time Director - Manufacturing, L&T, said.

The tie-up expands L&T’s road machinery portfolio as demand for equipment used in road construction, maintenance and broader infrastructure projects continues to grow in India.
