Dwarka, Gurugram & Airport to South Delhi travel set to get faster; ₹7,000-cr project explained

Travelling between Dwarka, Gurugram, IGI Airport and South Delhi could soon become significantly faster. The Union Cabinet has approved a ₹6,969.67-crore, 8.1-km highway project featuring a 3.14-km underground tunnel connecting the Shiv Murti Interchange on the Dwarka Expressway to Nelson Mandela Marg in Vasant Kunj. The project includes a tunnel beneath the Southern Ridge Forest, an elevated road, a flyover and an elevated U-turn near Mahipalpur–Chhatarpur. The NHAI will execute the project, which is expected to be completed in five years.
