Amit Shah promises profit model to Bharat Taxi drivers; ‘invest ₹500, reap returns in 3 years’
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah launched India’s first cooperative-based ride-hailing platform, Bharat Taxi, in Delhi on February 5. Addressing drivers, he said an investment of ₹500 would allow them to become stakeholders and share in profits after three years. Shah explained that 20% of company earnings would build capital, while 80% would be distributed to drivers based on kilometres driven, shifting them from fixed rent earners to profit-sharing owners.
