Uddhav Thackeray govt hindered progress of bullet train project, alleges Ashwini Vaishnaw

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, which has seen delays due to permissions and other hurdles, is set to make progress in Maharashtra. According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Surat-Bilimora section is expected to be operational by July-August 2026. Vaishnaw has blamed the previous Uddhav Thackeray government for hindering progress on the project by delaying permissions.
