Two new Garib Rath trains from Mumbai will begin its services from next week onwards, railway officials said.

MUMBAI: Two new Garib Rath trains from Mumbai will begin its services from next week onwards, railway officials said.

The first Garib Rath between Mumbai and Jaipur will begin services from February 5 and will operate thrice a week from Bandra Terminus to Jaipur in Rajasthan, Western Railway authorities said.

The second is on the Konkan Railway line between Mumbai and Kochuveli in Kerala and will operate twice a week, authorities said.

The innaugural train was operated yesterday and regular operations of the train will begin from February 4.

The Garib Rath trains, created to cater to economically backward persons, is fully airconditioned but tickets are available at half the rates when compared to similar trains like the Rajdhani or Shatabdi Express.
