HOWRAH: Train services were disrupted for some time in Howrah-Kharagpur division following protests against rail passenger fair hikes today.

The SUCI activists squatted on the tracks and blocked train movement for nearly half an hour before police cleared the tracks at Ghoraghata railway station, official sources said.

At the Andul-Sakhrail-Bagnan rail sector, ruling TMC activists protested against rail fare hike.

Train services were subsequently resumed.
