Train journey from Jammu Tawi railway station? New entry-exit arrangements start tomorrow; here’s where passengers must go from September 16

Jammu Tawi railway station will introduce revised passenger entry and exit arrangements from September 16 amid ongoing redevelopment work, railway officials said.

Under the new arrangement, passengers will enter the station from the Platform 1 side, while passengers completing their journey and deboarding trains will exit from the Narwal side, officials said.

Passengers arriving at Jammu Tawi railway station have been advised to follow the revised entry and exit arrangements to avoid inconvenience.


According to railway officials, passengers entering the station will have to use the Platform 1 side. Those deboarding trains and completing their journey will be required to exit from the Narwal side.

Directional signage has also been installed at the station to help passengers navigate the temporary arrangements.

What happens if a train arrives at Platform 1?

In case a train arrives at Platform 1, family members and relatives accompanying passengers for drop-off will also be allowed to exit from the Platform 1 side, officials said.

The provision is aimed at making the movement of passengers and their accompanying family members more convenient during the redevelopment work.
