Tejas Express to resume operations with full occupancy from February 14

Earlier in view of the coronavirus pandemic, the social distancing measures were applied and every alternate seat on the train was kept vacant. However this time the Tejas Express will run with full occupancy of 736 seats.

Indian Railways' special train Tejas Express is all set to be back on track from 14 February 2021.

The Express train will restart its operations on both the routes -- Lucknow-New Delhi and Ahmedabad-Mumbai.

Speaking to ET Online, Vayunandan Shukla, a senior official at IRCTC said, "Tejas Express will restart operations on Lucknow-Delhi and Ahmedabad Mumbai route from 14 Feb 2021."


"The train will run 4 days a week on Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday", he added.

After remaining suspended for almost seven months due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Tejas Express resumed operations in October to cater the festive rush. However, the Express train stopped operating in November due to low occupancy rate.
