As per new SoP, all passengers to Maharashtra need to carry RT-PCR negative test report before entering the state. Also, the test report must be done within the last 96 hours.

Passengers without RT-PCR test report will be screened for Covid at railway stations. Only those who do not have any Covid symptoms will be allowed to go ahead.

Those with Covid symptoms will go through additional Antigen tests. They will be allowed to travel further only if the test results come negative. Those who test positive would be admitted to a Covid care centre. (Representative Image)

You. As per an advisory issued by the Railways, the cost of care is to be borne by the passengers themselves. That means you will have to pay for the tests as well as for the treatment at Covid care centres in case you found positive during Antigen test.

The new rules are for passengers travelling from states of Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Goa to Maharashtra. Keep in mind that this is mandatory for all travellers.
