Two special trains will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26 to accommodate travelers attending Coldplay concerts. The concerts are scheduled for January 25 and 26 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Western Railway is operating these "winter special" trains due to high demand and increased airfares between the two cities. A railway official stated, "though the two trains are 'winter specials' as per the directive of the Railway Board, these are being operated to clear the extra rush of passengers in view of the Coldplay concerts on January 25 and 26 at Narendra Modi stadium in Gujarat."

The trains will depart Bandra Terminus in Mumbai at 6:15 am and arrive in Ahmedabad at 2 pm on both days. Return trips from Ahmedabad will depart at 1:40 am the following day, reaching Bandra Terminus at 8:40 am. Stops include Borivali, Vapi, Udhna, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, and Gertapur.

Officials noted that airfares have increased significantly, and regular train services are already full. They also suggested these two special trains may not be enough given Coldplay's popularity and previous experiences with high-demand events like the cricket world cup. For the earlier Coldplay concerts in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21, organizers booked special suburban trains for attendees.
