Special trains between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli

CHENNAI: Southern Railways would run a pair of special trains between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli to clear the extra rush of passengers.

The pair would be run as Superfast Special trains, a Southern Railway release said.

While train No 06718 would leave Tirunelveli at 18.15 hrs on November 30 and would reach Chennai Egmore at 07.15 hrs the next day, its pair 06717 would leave Chennai Egmore at 22.45 hrs on December one and reach Tirunelveli at 12.30 hrs the next day, it said.

These trains would stop at Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Satur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Chidambaram, Tirupadaripuliyur, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Chennai Egmore stations, it said.
