Southern Railway introduces new train

CHENNAI: Southern Railways has introduced special trains between Tirunelveli and Chennai as part of serving larger section of passengers during the summer season.

The Tirunelveli-Chennai Egmore Superfast Special Train will run on Thursdays and Fridays and will comprise one air-conditioned two-tier coach, two air conditioned three tier-coaches, 10 sleeper class coaches, six general second class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans, a southern Railway press release said.

Chennai Egmore Superfast Special train will leave Tirunelveli on April nine and May seven and arrive at Chennai Egmore next day. Chennai Egmore-Tirunelveli Special Train will leave Chennai Egmore April 10 and May 8 and arrive at Tirunelveli the next day, it said.

Advance reservation will commence tomorrow, it said.
