Shatabdi, Vande Bharat passengers set to get an extra new service

Indian Railways is all set to add radio entertainment to the bouquet of facilities if offers to Shatabdi and Vande Bharat passengers.

Ten Shatabdi Express trains and two Vande Bharat Express trains will now have this service on offer.

According to reports, Northern Railway will soon introduce customised music experience and RJ entertainment in these two trains. The service will be made available through the passengers' address system.


When passengers on these trains will travel across Delhi, Lucknow, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ajmer, Dehradun, Kanpur, Varanasi, Katra and Kathgodam, they will be greeted by radio music, wires agencies reported.

The release also read that music with travelling is the best combination and enhances the possibilities of good mood in travel.

This will also bring in additional revenue through advertising.

According to the official release, the ratio of entertainment/railway information and commercial advertisement will be given on 50 min:10 min on per hour basis during journey time.
