Rakesh Kumar Tandon appointed IRCTC MD

NEW DELHI: Rakesh Kumar Tandon has been appointed as the new managing director of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

Prior to this, he was the executive director (passenger marketing) and executive director (efficiency and research) in the Railway Ministry.

An IRTS officer of the 1978 batch, Tandon joined the Delhi division of Northern Railway in 1980 as assistant operating manager and held various assignments on Indian Railways including chief personal officer, administration and divisional railway manager of Ambala Division.
