Rajalakshmi Ravikumar new Financial Commissioner of Railways
An Indian Railway Accounts Service officer, Ravikumar has worked on various middle & higher level management posts in the Railways before becoming FC.

NEW DELHI: Railways today appointed Director General of National Academy of Indian Railways Rajalakshmi Ravikumar as its Financial Commissioner (FC).
Additional Member (Budget) Rashmi Kapoor was holding the additional charge of FC since the retirement of the previous Financial Commissioner Rajendra Kashyap in May 2014.
An Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer, Ravikumar has worked on various middle and higher level management posts in the Railways before becoming FC, said a senior Railway Ministry official.
The Financial Commissioner plays a crucial role in preparing Railway Budget.
