Railways to sell vacant berths in Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains at 10% discount

CHENNAI: Railways will introduce discount on vacant berths in Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains on a trial basis from December 15 till May 31, 2017.

Vacant berths available after preparation of charts will be sold at a 10% discount over the last ticket sold prior to charting.

These tickets will be available at current counters as well as through e-ticketing on IRCTC website till 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train.


Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto tickets have been being sold on good response to flexi-fare system, claims railways since September 9 this year.
