Railways allow using of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes till midnight of November 24
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had last week announced that his government was scrapping use of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes to fight the problem of black money
"Extension has been increased from the midnight of November 14 to the midnight of 24th of the month. The move has been taken keeping passenger convenience in mind," Railway Board Spokesperson Anil kumar Saxena said.

Earlier in the day, roads minister Nitin Gadkari had extended the collection on toll fee from November 14th to 18th of the month.
