Railway reservation counters to open on Sunday evening

The reservation counters will remain open in the evening shift on Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM, said a senior Northern Railway official.

NEW DELHI: In order to facilitate hassle-free ticket booking, Northern Railways has decided to open reservation counters on Sundays at four stations in the national capital from September 6.

The reservation counters will remain open in the evening shift on Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM, said a senior Northern Railway official.

Counters will remain open in the evening at New Delhi, Old Delhi, Sarojini Nagar and Nizamuddin stations.

Currently, counters remain open only in the morning hours from 8 AM to 2 PM on Sundays.

"Opening timing is extended to afternoon on Sundays on an experimental basis for a month. Depending upon the response, we will decide the future course of action," he said.
