P&T department to set up atleast 10 rail counters in J&K

JAMMU: With trains now chugging in the Kashmir valley, the Post and Telegraph department has drawn up a plan to set up rail reservation counters at atleast 10 different post offices in J&K.

"Post and Telegraph department is setting up 10 rail reservation counters at its post offices in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir soon," an official of the department said.

These counters would be set up at Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla, Bandipora, Sopore, Kupwara (Kashmir region), Leh (Ladakh region), Ramnagar, Reasi, Katra, Noushera (Jammu region), they said.

Two such counters have already been set up in Doda and Poonch in August this year, they said.
