Pilgrimage train Astha Circuit to start from Kamakhya
The train will stop at Kamakhya, Alipurduar, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda, New Farakka, Pakur, Rampurhat and Bolpur.
According to NFR for the first time such special dedicated tourist train is being originated from NFR. The proposed train would take travelers to a mix of popular pilgrimage destinations across the eastern part of the country and will be managed by IRCTC.
Chief Public Relations Officer, Pranav Jyoti Sharma stated “Astha Circuit Tourist Train” would take tourists to various popular religious destinations, covering Gangasagar, Sri Swamy Narayan Temple, Kalighat, Birla Temple, Sri Jagannath Temple, Konark Temple and Lingaraj Temple. The duration of the tour from Kamakhya and back is six nights and seven days.
The train would have various boarding stations including Kamakhya, Alipurduar, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda, New Farakka, Pakur, Rampurhat and Bolpur. De-boarding stations include Rampurhat, Pakur, New Farakka, Malda Town, New Jalpaiguri, New Coochbehar and Alipurduar.
