Mumbai special train to clear extra rush

Railways has decided to run a Rajdhani-type superfast special train for Mumbai to cater to the growing demand of western sector-bound passengers stranded due to the ongoing Air India pilots' strike.

NEW DELHI: Railways has decided to run a Rajdhani type superfast special train for Mumbai to cater to the growing demand of western sector-bound passengers stranded due to the ongoing Air India pilots' strike.

The New Delhi-Mumbai Central superfast special train will depart from here at 11.35 pm on May 5 to reach Mumbai Central at 8.55 pm the next day. On return journey, the special train will depart from Mumbai Central at 7.45 pm on May 7 to reach New Delhi at 5.10 pm the next day.

Consisting of one AC first coach, four 2nd AC coaches, Six AC 3 Tier coaches, one pantry car and Two AC 3 Tier-cum- brake van coaches, the Mumbai special will stop at Mathura, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodra, Surat and Borivalli stations enroute in both directions.
