MoS (railways) V Somanna announces special train services to address festival rush

The train will operate as a weekly express service. The regularised service will depart from Mysuru Junction at 8 am on September 5, and from Ajmer at 6.30 pm on September 7. The minister urged members of public to make best use of the service.

Bengaluru: Minister of State for Railways V Somanna on Thursday announced that the railway board has regularized the Mysuru–Ajmer Express Special (Train Nos. 06281/06282) service.

The train will operate as a weekly express service. The regularised service will depart from Mysuru Junction at 8 am on September 5, and from Ajmer at 6.30 pm on September 7. The minister urged members of public to make best use of the service.

The minister, who represents Tumakuru in the Lok Sabha, also announced that the railway board has cleared the continuation of the Hubballi–Chikkamagaluru–Hubballi Express Special service (Train Nos. 07341/07342). The weekend service will address the additional rush of passengers during the festivals of Ganesh Chaturthi, Dasara, Deepavali, and Chhat, the minister said.

The railways also extended the SSS Hubballi-Remeshwaram weekly special express train service to manage the additional congestion of passengers during the festival season.
