Max New York Life to provide passenger amenities in Rajdhani
In an effort to provide better amenities in trains and at the same time earn additional revenue through advertising, railways have joined hands with Max New York Life Insurance to provide passengers a new travel experience.
Max New York Life would provide passengers in three Rajdhani trains - Delhi-Bangalore, Delhi-Chennai and Delhi-Trivandrum - with upgraded services like high quality flooring, clean toilets and trained housekeeping staff on-board throughout the journey as part of the public private partnership with railways.
While railways would earn Rs 75 lakh per year from these three Rajdhani trains, it would allow these trains to be used for advertising.
"To begin with Max New York Life has been allowed to brand these trains for six months, said a senior railway official and added the arrangement can be extended for another six months if the company wants.
Besides maintaining hygenic and cleanliness in the train, max New York Life would also provide soap dispensers, tissue paper dispensers, deodorant based toilet flushing system in toilets, automotaed fragrance dispensers in the compartments.
Rajesh Sud, Deputy Managing Director, Max New York Life Insurance, said train advertising of this kind is a great platform for not only increasing the brand visibility throughout the length and breadth of the country but also interact with these potential customers of Max New York Life during their journey.
Besides saving cost on providing services, railways will also earn revenue in the new PPP initiative while on the other hand Max New York Life will have sole advertising and promotion rights on the complete outside and inside of the three south-bound Rajdhani trains.
