Konkan Railway launches new mobile application

MANGALURU: With a view to providing value-added services to its customers, Konkan Railway has launched a mobile application on Google Play Store which would enable the passengers to access various train-related features on their mobile phone.

"Since a large number of passengers now use smart phones, the application is a step forward in improving services for our passengers," Konkan Railway said in a release here.

The application which has been developed in-house by the Konkan Railway Information Technology Cell would allow the passengers to check the time-table of trains running via Konkan Railway route, provide current status of trains on the route in addition to enabling access to the Railway's website.

The application can be downloaded and installed on android and Blackberry smart phones, the release said.
