Kochi Metro website found hacked, case registered

The website of Kochi metro was found hacked on Monday morning. The hackers had posted anti-Israel slogans in the site.

KOCHI: The website of Kochi metro was found hacked on Monday morning. The hackers had posted anti-Israel slogans in the site.

A Palestinian flag was also found posted in the hacked site. The cyber cell of the Kerala police has registered a case on a complaint from the metro authorities.

The Kochi metro site was developed by the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT), an autonomous institution set up by the Kerala Government. C-DIT has started an enquiry in to the hacking incident. The domain was hosted in the state data centre server managed by the Kerala State IT mission.

The site contained the tender documents of the metro project and had details about the day to day affairs of the project. The hacking incident has happened at a time when the work on the project is about to start in May this year.
