The meeting decided to introduce new railway coaches and better coaches for the people of Arunachal Pradesh in Naharlagun-Delhi AC SF Express train and to launch a new train from Morkongselek (Jonai) to Guwahati so that eastern parts of Arunachal Pradesh were better connected with the rest of India.
The meeting also decided to introduce a better ticketing system for the people of the state and to allot more quota of seats for the state besides speeding up survey works for rail connectivity to Tawang and Aalo-Pasighat sectors, the communique said.
It was assured that all efforts would be made to further strengthen the railway connectivity of Arunachal Pradesh, the communiqué added.
