The journey begins in Ayodhya, with visits to Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Hanuman Garhi, and Ram Ki Paidi, followed by Nandigram and Sitamarhi in Bihar, believed to be Sita’s birthplace. From there, travellers head by road to Janakpur in Nepal to visit the Ram Janaki Temple. The tour then moves to Buxar for Ramrekha Ghat and Rameshwarnath Temple, and continues to Varanasi to see the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Tulsi Mandir, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, and the Ganga Aarti. Afterwards, passengers travel by road to Prayagraj, Shringverpur, and Chitrakoot—all significant places from Lord Ram’s exile years—where overnight stays are arranged. The train then heads to Nasik, covering the Trimbakeshwar Temple and Panchvati, another important Ramayana location. In the final leg, the tour visits Hampi, considered to be ancient Kishkindha, the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, with stops at Anjaneya Hill, Vitthala Temple, and Virupaksha Temple. The last destination is Rameshwaram, where travellers will see the Ramanathaswamy Temple and Dhanushkodi, before returning to Delhi on the 17th day.

Why this tour is so popular
IRCTC officials say that since the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya was opened in January 2024, interest in religious tourism has grown rapidly. This will be the fifth Ramayana Yatra tour and earlier ones have received great response from pilgrims across the country. This train tour is a great way to explore the life journey of Lord Ram across India in a well-organised, comfortable, and spiritual manner.
