​Going the AC way
In a bid to make long distance travel comfortable for travellers, the Indian Railways has decided to make all coaches of every train air-conditioned.

This includes Sleeper Class coaches, and General Coaches, which have traditionally been non-AC.

The work has already begun at the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala where Indian Railways has started converting all non-AC coaches to AC coaches.

As per officials from the Coach Factory, AC Sleeper Class coaches will be a sort of ‘economical’ AC class, which can be categorised between AC-3 and Sleeper class.
