Indian Railways goes AI-first: Vaishnaw unveils Rail Tech Portal, e-RCT reforms under new initiative

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has unveiled two major reforms for Indian Railways under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Reforms Express’ vision. The initiatives include a New Rail Tech Policy to boost innovation and a digital overhaul of Railway Claims Tribunal (RCT) cases through e-RCT. Vaishnaw also outlined a roadmap of 52 reforms in 52 weeks, targeting enhanced safety, wider AI adoption, and a reduction in railway accidents to single-digit figures.
